The worker will provide support to TEA's Financial Data Scientist and/or Finance Division and may be directed to assist with query and report development for all PeopleSoft modules. This includes but is not limited to review of all current queries utilized by DIR financial staff and make recommendation and or changes to the queries to bring them to current CAPPS standards.

The worker will provide coordination of efforts, including, but not limited to all phases of the additional report design and development, assist with UAT, and Training; as well as follow up support.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the TEA.

The worker must have a strong background in States of Texas Financial Business Processes, Query Development, Business Objects 3.1 or 4.0 (or higher) and it is preferred if the candidate has provided query data that has been utilized by other visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and the like.

PeopleSoft and Data Warehouse technology.

8RequiredReporting Experience with Business Intelligence Report Writing best practices

8RequiredReporting Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement

8RequiredReporting Experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms

8RequiredReporting Experience with PeopleSoft

8RequiredClient Budget and Finance experience, using CAPPS

8RequiredProficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products

8RequiredStrong communication skills, presenting complex financial information to users/stakeholders

7PreferredReporting Experience with TCAPPS Peoplesoft

5PreferredTCAPPS Financials modules implementation or post-go live experience with an emphasis on reporting activities

5PreferredKnowledge of TCAPPS configurations and budgetary structure.

V. OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • The Worker must have extensive experience in the following:
  • Coordinating the necessary functional and technical resources when collaboration is required in relation to financial business.
  • Teaching and mentoring agency staff in production reporting duties and best practices
  • Working with business customers to gather requirements for report development.
  • Responsible for capturing business requirements to meet TEAs reporting needs.
  • Responsible for consistent use of project standardized processes and forms, including but not limited to, Functional Design
  • Documents, Key Design Decisions, Change Controls, Risk and Issue log, Scope Documentation, Configuration Documentation,
  • Business Process Flows, and other project documents as needed
  • Adhering to software development processes
  • Prepare detailed documentation.
  • Completes tasks in an efficient and timely manner while keeping project stakeholders informed
