Amazon is seeking an outstanding Business Intelligence Engineer(BIE) to join Amazon's capacity planning team. This rapidly-growing business within Amazon offers a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment

As a BIE, you will be play a key role in Amazon customer service by partnering with capacity planners, finance, technology and data engineering teams to develop world class business intelligence solutions. You will be working with strategically-focused team that partners with stakeholders WW to drive key business decisions by performing data analysis, designing and monitoring metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for complex and ambiguous problems

- Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context

- Conduct deep dive analyses of business problem statements and formulate conclusions and recommendations to leadership

- Monitor existent metrics, analyzing data and partnering with internal teams to identify process, system improvement opportunities and come up with BI solutions.

- Drive business decisions by analyzing of demand and supply side metrics, designing and developing dashboards and reports

- Extensive stakeholder management of data suppliers and data consumers worldwide who operate out of diverse geographies

- Develop and improve data flow between multiple systems and provide self-service tools to the customers

- Maintain data integrity and data quality of the team inputs and outputs. Perform validation and documentation

- Participate in global capacity planning and customer service initiatives and project roll outs to cater to growing business needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

- Experience writing complex SQL queries

- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business

- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
