Business Intelligence Engineer, WW Sustainability

Seattle, Washington

Employer: Amazon
Industry: Business Intelligence
Salary: $89600 per year
Job type: Full-Time

Join us at the cutting edge of Amazon's sustainability initiatives to work on environmental and social advancements to support Amazon's long term worldwide sustainability strategy. At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.

The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon's scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team builds technical solutions to track, record, and forecast Amazon's WW impact on the Environment (i.e., Carbon, Water, Waste, etc.). This includes calculating past and current impacts and future abatement plans, ensuring credibility through standards and validations, and highlighting non-obvious opportunities for Amazon's global business teams.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer who will assist us in developing analytical solutions for measuring and reporting on Amazon's global footprint impact areas. You will build and maintain centralized reporting tables and interactive dashboards that are consumed by thousands of Amazonians.

Your work will help contribute to WW Sustainability delivering high quality products that enable teams across the country to take actions critical to meeting and exceeding Climate Pledge commitments.

The ideal candidate will know how to construct data pipelines and interactive dashboards based on ambiguous requirements, with demonstrated experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in both technical and non-technical roles.

They should be able to transition well between heads down deep dive analysis and query development to presenting their findings to stakeholder groups in a clear and accessible manner that demonstrates the impact of their findings and solutions.

Key job responsibilities

* Deliver highly visible data visualization solutions for measuring and reporting on Amazon's global carbon, waste, and water footprints

* Support numerous internal WWS teams in developing and maintaining metric tables, interactive dashboards, and data pipeline alarms

* Provide ad hoc data extraction and assessment support to program teams tasked with reporting on business unit activities and external disclosures

* Develop and lead reporting on user engagement and customer sentiment across all WWS products
