Job Duties

A demonstrated ability to oversee and manage the ODGA's Business Intelligence solutions, ensuring the design, implementation, and maintenance of BI systems align with business goals. In-depth knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, and their respective ecosystems. Considerable understanding of data modeling techniques and best practices for designing efficient and scalable data models. Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, data integration, and data warehousing concepts. Awareness of data governance principles, data privacy regulations, and security best practices. Demonstrated leadership capabilities to guide and mentor team members and influence stakeholders. Must have outstanding customer service skills and be adept at managing client relationships, ensuring clear communication, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored data solutions that exceed expectations and foster long-term partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications

The BI Solutions Architect will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the ODGA and partner agencies. This role involves evaluating and selecting the appropriate BI technologies, designing robust data integration processes, and developing comprehensive data models, reports, and dashboards. The BI Solutions Architect will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, ensure data quality and security, and provide training and support to maximize the effective use of BI tools. By continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement, the BI Solutions Architect will play a key role in enhancing the organization's analytical capabilities and driving business success.

Additional Considerations

A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, management information systems, statistics, analytics, or a related field; An equivalent combination of education and experience indicating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute. Proven experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar. Strong experience with SQL and other database query languages.
