Business Office Assistant | Mullins Center (UMass-Amherst)

Overview
Position provides accounting, human resource and administrative support in the Mullins Center business office working for OVG, the vendue management contractor in charge of the University of Massachusetts athletic/concert venue operations on the Amherst campus.
Successful canidate will be a team player willing to jump in to assist accross departments and work independently, as needed.
This is an entry level position with the potential for some scheduling/hours flexibility for the right candidate based on experience.
This role will pay a hourly rate of $20 to $22.50.

Responsibilities
Assist with general accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable/receivable and box office.
Assist with human resource functions such as new hire processing, records maintenance and general communication.
Maintain files, equipment and overall organization of the business office.
Perform other routine compliance duties.
Qualifications
Bachelor or Associate degree and/or previous experience in a business office environment preferred.
Basic computer skills with an emphasis on Excel. Familiarity with Sage 100 accounting and/or ADP timeclock (eTime) software platforms a plus.
Ability to multitask with a high level of accuracy while meeting reporting deadlines.
Ability to identitfy oppotunities for operational efficiencies and implement process improvements.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Ability to work occassional nights/weekend/holidays a plus.
