Business Office Director

Responsibilities

Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center (VBPC), a UHS facility is a 100-bed freestanding hospital offering acute psychiatric and substance abuse services for adults 18 years and older. The hospital is accessible 24 hours a day for admissions, and includes mental health assessments and referral network. Treatment programs and specialty services at VBPC include substance abuse, dual diagnosis/rapid stabilization and partial hospitalization.

Position Summary

The Business Office Director is responsible for ensuring the efficient operations of the Business Office to include an accurate, timely and consistent performance of all functions pertaining to patient accounting (including patient account maintenance, billing and collection management), admissions processing and accounts receivable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field required, with certification through HFMA or AEPAM (CMPA or CPAM) preferred.

Experience : Minimum of two (2) years experience in a multi-faceted business office preferably in a health-care setting, with one (1) year supervisory/management experience preferred.

Additional Requirements: Experience with computers and business software programs, particularly Excel.
