JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Business System Administrator will be responsible for ensuring data is entered timely and accurately into Cayuse SP and other systems of record; Analyze system reports to review/monitor quality control and perform data corrective action in coordination with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) team; Provide analyses of sponsored projects through program and accounting metrics, and to provide related recommendations for improved practices/services; Update and submit federal subaward reporting under the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA); Providing support for digital platform by analyzing, updating and maintaining Office of Sponsored Programs' webpage.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of related experience with business systems, information technology, computer science, programs administration, or a related field. (Prior experience in an academic environment is preferred.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of data information entered into Cayuse SP and other systems related to sponsored programs activity.
- Serves as liaison between technical and end-user to minimize missteps and optimizes solutions as the department visualizes, designs, develops, implements, and executes process improvements.
- Creates and updates all personnel usage in Cayuse and responds to and troubleshoots all Cayuse issues.
- Assists in the design and implementation of systems, tools, and reports which will support OSP operations.
- Develops, implements, and monitors internal controls to enhance data integrity, portfolio management, and worklist compliance by reviewing system applications such as Power BI, Cayuse, & iMedris.
- Work with the Electronic Research Administration (ERA) to develop methods of consistency to generate accurate reports for the research community.
- Identifies, evaluates, supports, and solves complex issues related to sponsored projects logistics.
- Performs extensive problem analysis, design, system development, and documentation as necessary to complete specific assignments.
- Create and maintains dashboards/visualizations to help users make data-driven decisions.
- Develops and presents trainings to end users to ensure streamlining initiatives.
- Conducts content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
- Creates appropriate website content aligned with the University and Research's strategy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- Knowledge of the principles of office management.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating situations.
- Ability to apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; including the ability to create simple functions and macros, tables and forms.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to proofread and edit for grammar, spelling, syntax and style; compute, verify and compare figures; detect discrepancies in information or records.
- Ability to prepare financial and accounting records.
- Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data.
- Ability to compile, organize, interpret, and communicate accounting data and results concisely.
