Job Purpose:

Under direct supervision, purchases mainly fleet equipment parts and mechanic shop equipment and supplies, and performs limited procurement support functions. Assignments are clearly defined and require the application of standard purchasing techniques, procedures, and criteria. Reports directly to the Manager of Procurement.

This position is located at the Worley Alaska Inc. Anchorage Fabrication Shop and is a full-time, non-rotational position.

Essential Job Functions:
• Receives purchasing assignments from more senior procurement department staff.
• Reviews purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
• Assists in the development of bidders lists and qualifications.
• Prepares and issues Requests for Quotation (RFQ's) for non-engineered, commodity items.
• Analyzes quotations and collaborates with immediate supervisor to compare the bid offerings prior to making award recommendations.
• Prepares bid tabs, purchase orders and change orders for non-engineered, commodity items.
• Maintains comprehensive and auditable purchase order files, primarily in standard, hard copy format.
• Updates Buyer's Log/Procurement Plan reports in Worley's electronic materials management system.
• Takes corrective action concerning problems with purchase orders.
• Expedites materials, interviews sales representatives, develops routine cost information for estimating purposes and contacts suppliers to resolve problems regarding invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare manifest and freight bill of material for the weekly Anchorage-Prudhoe truck freight.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and to meet deadlines.
• Possesses current knowledge of educational accounting/business development and organizational practices.
• Has strong written, analytical, interpersonal skills and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
• Computer skills, including database management programs commensurate with job applications.
• Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain a rapport and strong working relationship with co-workers and client representatives.

External Qualifications:
• One to two (1-2) years' procurement experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, excel, and ability to train within the Worley ERM and Fleet Focus procurement system.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with equipment parts and mechanic shop supplies.
• Prior procurement experience.
