Overview

The Cafe Cashier & Coffee Attendant is responsible for greeting guests, stocking the multiple areas in the cafe and assisting with coffee services at multiple locations withing the buidling. The Cafe Cashier & Coffee Attendant is responsible for assiting the Cafe Manager with maintaining a clean workspace and executing the daily operations.

This role will pay an hourly wage within the range of $14 to $16.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
  • Responsible for counting inventory, maintaining stock and supply levels, and communicating to the Cafe Manger of low stock items.
  • Responsible for setting up catering equipment and executing any daily caterings in or outside of the cafe
  • Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
  • Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
  • Responsible for brewing coffee and stocking stations daily

Qualifications
  • Availability to work early morning shifts, as early as 5:30AM, Monday-Friday
  • 6 months of experience in catering or food & beverage service industry preferred
  • Ability to learn to operate the point of sale system and corresponding system
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to product inventory.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume restaurant capacity is preferred.
