Calcine Operator - Night Shift

We are excited to be hiring for a Calcine Alpha Operator (Night Shift) at our North Las Vegas, NV Gypsum Plasters facility. This position will work on a production line manufacturing Plaster Mill that is trusted and used in throughout Las Vegas and the surrounding areas.

Compensation: $26.00/hour



Schedule: Rotating schedule (3,2,2,3) straight night shift

What You Will Do In Your Role

• In charge of grinding and calcining gypsum in the Alpha process
• Responsible for product quality test and making adjustments as necessary to keep product in specification
• Ensuring that machines are set up properly and performing optimally
• Troubleshooting and making machine adjustments as needed
• Performing periodic preventive and corrective maintenance in the beta department
• Contributing to the site's safety record by maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
• Working as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals
• Cleaning work area throughout assigned shifts to ensure an orderly and safe environment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for a minimum of twelve (12) hours a day in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Work 12-hour shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime if necessary
• Lift up to a maximum of 49 pounds

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, production, or military environment

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience identifying, analyzing, and troubleshooting quality issues
• Experience troubleshooting equipment and performing preventative and corrective maintenance
• Experience operating heavy equipment to include but not limited to, forklifts, front end loaders, and bulldozers
• Experience using hand tools in the workplace to include, but not limited to, rakes, shovels, hand saws, wrenches, and screwdrivers
