The California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Office of Cannabis is seeking a highly motivated full time Limited Term Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) to join the Cannabis Restoration Grant Program (CRGP). In this exciting position you would be supporting efforts for the cleanup, remediation, and restoration of environmental damage in watersheds affected by cannabis cultivation and related activities.

Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (Supervisory), the AGPA will primarily serve as Backlog Grants Analyst assigned to resolve outstanding administrative and analytical issues for the CRGP. The AGPA is responsible for coordinating and implementing aspects of state grant program development, management, reporting, document preparation, budget and invoice review, and fiscal processes. In addition, the AGPA will have lead responsibility for other analytical and administrative functions to accelerate the Cannabis Program's outreach and engagement efforts. This is a 12-month limited-term position that may be extended up to 24 months and/or become permanent.

This position is a 12 month Limited Term (LT) and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

If you currently have permanent status in your position and have passed probation, you have mandatory reinstatement rights into your former position at the end of this LT appointment. If you have not had prior permanent or probationary civil service status, you will be separated from state service.

Working Conditions
This position requires the use of a computer for several hours each day and tasks that require sitting, standing, and walking to other locations. Occasional travel is required within the state of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, etc.). Travel may include multiple day overnight stay dependent upon departmental need.

This position is based in downtown Sacramento. Parking is not provided. This position is eligible for hybrid telework schedule with a minimum of two days in office, dependent on operational needs.

Special Skills: Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications at an intermediate to advanced level for fiscal tracking, document creation, and collaboration. Knowledge and experience with various Financial Information System for California (Fi$Cal) procurement contract modules and processes. Knowledge of State contract rules, policies, and procedures. Ability to analyze data and conduct research to draw effective conclusions.
