Summary:
Performs various hospital food services duties (e.g., assembles, delivers, and retrieves patient trays, washes dishes, pots, carts, and service-ware support; sets up, and serves customers in cafeteria). Provides the highest quality of service and respect to others at all times.
Minimum Education:
a. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
a. Must possess knowledge of and be in compliance with local, state, and federal food handling regulations (i.e., HACCP)
b. Ability to assemble and pass trays
c. Demonstrates a helpful and pleasant behavior when communicating with visitors, hospital personnel, physicians and co-workers
d. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
e. Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.
f. Ability to be active and on feet most of the day, lift, push, and pull light to medium weight objects; occasionally push and pull heavy weight objects.
$15.30/hr - $18.36/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
