Roles and Responsibilities:
• The Carbon Operations Manager Deputy oversees the carbon manufacturing operation from textile through the high temperature process, manages employees, plans and makes changes according to production schedule, promotes safety, supports and communicates company goals, rules, and standards, to employees
• Ensures that production functions are completed in accordance with established safety, quality, and production standards
• Regulating workflow to ensure maximum production capacity. Monitoring the floor production schedule to ensure that products are completed according to deadlines
• Follow-up and partner with departments to ensure parts and materials are available as well as identifying root causes and implementing countermeasures to minimize customer impact on delivery misses
• Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
• Assures proper deployment of resources and appropriate planning to meet customer requirements
• Analyzes short and long-term industrial capacity to develop a plan that will support current and long-term needs
• Leads the group to foster a strong culture in Quick Response Quality Control and utilizing associated tools (SQDCPI, Root Cause Analysis, and Quick Response Action Plans)
• Leads the carbon operational initiatives to maintain targeted productivity, labor and equipment effectiveness to achieve cost and delivery goals
• Utilize ERP and other resources to gather, analyze, and interpret data to ensure appropriate maintenance, tools, and supplies are available to support production demand while maintaining budgets
• Ensure that work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained (5S)
• Integrate a comprehensive training program, including cross-training, for the carbon operations group to ensure team flexibility and employee development
• Build positive employee relationships based on defined measurable goals, open communication, and participative management
• Oversees production processes, identifies problems, and resolves them quickly and effectively

Experience/Education/Certification Required:
• B.A/B.S Degree (Engineering or related technical field preferred) or must meet the following:
- Minimum (10) years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum (3) years of production management experience
• Green Belt certification. Black Belt certification preferred
• APICS Module 1 (Basic) preferred
• Aerospace Industry and/or Carbon composite manufacturing experience preferred.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email, ERP system.
