Under the direction of Cardiology Manager and in coordination with the Cardiologist and/or Nurse Practitioner the Cardiac Technologist - Stress Technologist assists and performs diagnostic stress testing, holter monitor procedures and event monitor procedures. Qualifications

Required:

  • Computer skills
  • Constructive cooperative relationship with peers
  • High school diploma
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation


Preferred:

  • Ability to perform blood pressures
  • Knowledge of HIPPA, JCAHO standards
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and cardiovascular systems
  • Knowledge of Universal precautions standards
  • Knowledge of EKG pattern recognition
  • 1 year of stress testing or a position with direct patient contact
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
  • ECG/EKG Technician certification
