Cardiac IMCU RN

Continuous telemetry monitoring and bedside monitoring. This unit provides pre and post procedural care for patients undergoing cardiac f peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional, and EP (electrophysiology) procedures including device implantations and valve replacements. Post intervention patients may arrive from the Cardiac Catheterization/EP lab with arterial or venous sheaths, permanent pacemakes or implantable cardioverter defibrillators. This unit provides care to patients with chest pain, acute coronary syndrome, stable acte myocardinal infarction, heart failure, dysrhythmias, and those requiring administration of specific cardiac drugs. Services provided:
- Removal of arterial and venous sheaths
- Chest tube care and management
- Arterial site management
- Epidural / PCA management
- Tracheostomy care
- Cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring
- Pre-op open heart surgery
- Pre and post op thoracic surgery patients

Required Skills & Experience

Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
Educational Requirements: BSN
Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience
RN, BLS
