SUMMARY
Performs echocardiographic and doppler examinations on adults, infants and neonates. Assimilates the data and performs calculations for interpretation. Informs the cardiologist promptly of test results and any pertinent information concerning patient.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Requires an Associate Degree in Medical Sonography, preferably from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CHAAHEP) approved ultrasound program.
* Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Adult Echocardiography, RDCS(AE), by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARMDS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
* Previous experience preferred.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting this role.
* Six months to one year experience in M-mode and 2-D echocardiography.

Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance, and an FBI criminal history check required.
