Position Summary:
Performs radiographic, invasive diagnostic, and interventional department procedures.
Reports to: Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Enter new data as needed.

Monitors heart rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. Reports any changes to the appropriate person.

Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.

Assists cardiologist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Administers medications to patients under the supervision of attending physicians.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g. Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Paramedicine, Licensed Practical Nurse or equivalent academic program and experience.)

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Licensure or Certification in degree field
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Non-Radiologic Technology and Licensed Practical Nursing requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 6 months of hire.
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists (RCIS) (Preferred)
