Job Summary
Duties to include working with first responders in the Meriden community providing substance abuse and mental health interventions to identified individuals and families in the community setting. A comprehensive array of rehabilitation services are provided, much of which are in the community. Assessing client needs, planning and linkage to appropriate services, advocacy as well as providing outreach and engagement are essential job functions. Coordinate and provide services within an integrated and recovery oriented system of care.

Qualifications:
- Associates Degree required
- Certification as a Recovery Coach or Peer Support Specialist will be considered in lieu of an Associates Degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with a behavioral health population required
- Valid Connecticut driver's license required
- Must qualify for Public Service License
- Knowledge of principles and practices of a designated therapeutic discipline
- Knowledge of physical, mental and psychosocial disorders
- Experience in facilitating groups and/or application of therapeutic techniques
- Bilingual preferred
