We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Cashier to join our Ada Travel Gaming Operations Unit 5 team located at the Chickasaw Travel Stop #555.

Department: Cashiers-Clerks

Job Title: Clerk

General Definition: Operates cash register and stocks store. Promotes signature products by providing the highest level of customer service and ensuring a winning experience.

Supervision Received : Store Management

Supervision Exercised: None

Essential Job Functions:
  • Each employee is required to support the mission of the Chickasaw Nation upon becoming a member of the Chickasaw Nation team. Our mission is "To enhance the overall quality of life of the Chickasaw People".
  • Every employee is responsible to create a winning experience for our guests. What is a "winning experience"? It encompasses exemplary guest services, salesmanship of our players' cards and all properties, and a true passion to serve our guests.
  • Serve customers in a fast friendly and courteous manner optimizing customer satisfaction.
  • Count money to verify amounts and issues receipts for funds received. This includes credit card transactions as needed.
  • Audit of register and change box funds by auditing account shortages and overages through process of counting their shift bag down before and after closing out shift.
  • Stock inventory; several times during each shift by placing products on display shelf for customer availability.
  • Clean and sweep the floors, walk-in areas, storage rooms, bathrooms, and parking lot by following cleaning checklists provided and distributed by Supervisor.
  • May promote signature products to increase guest satisfaction and store sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Completion of the Tenth Grade

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to read, understand, apply and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Must have sufficient mathematical skills to quickly and accurately count back a customer's change.
  • May be required to be able to lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds in order to effectively restock inventory and cooler.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.


Training and Experience:
  • Retail/customer service experience preferred
  • Previous suggestive sales experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications/Other:
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
  • Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation Office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
