Bonus Structure:
The Catering Sales & Event Manager (CSM) is responsible for developing and fostering group and catering business for the hotel through proactive and reactive sales efforts. This role ensures client satisfaction through high levels of service to internal and external partners, focusing on repeat and referral business. The CSM will manage and coordinate the details of events and groups, serving as a liaison between clients, the Sales team, and Event Management team to execute successful events.

The Catering Sales & Event Manager (CSM) is responsible for developing and fostering group and catering business for the hotel through proactive and reactive sales efforts. This role ensures client satisfaction through high levels of service to internal and external partners, focusing on repeat and referral business. The CSM will manage and coordinate the details of events and groups, serving as a liaison between clients, the Sales team, and Event Management team to execute successful events.
Responsibilities:
- Event Management: Manage all pre-event, event, and post-event details, including room blocks, meeting spaces, concessions, group history, key dates, contract clauses, group resumes, event orders, billing details, and other important elements.
- Hotel Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of the hotel's food and beverage offerings, function spaces, audio-visual capabilities, and event-related details to enhance customer satisfaction and event success.
- Business Development: Maintain and develop new business opportunities while growing existing accounts and segments, ensuring business saturation and client retention.
- Revenue Forecasting: Collaborate with internal and external partners to accurately forecast group rooms and F&B revenue, maximizing available space and driving profitability for the hotel.
- Sales Tools & Processes: Learn and effectively utilize sales systems like Delphi, CI/TY, PMS, and hotel revenue strategies to optimize sales processes and outcomes.
- Client Engagement: Attend customer functions as needed, lead site visits, participate in tasting panels, pre- and post-cons, and other customer-centric meetings to ensure a positive client experience.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with all departments to ensure event success and forecast accuracy. Prepare for and participate in internal meetings, conference calls, reporting, and planning sessions.
- Career Development: Take ownership of personal career growth through training opportunities and job advancement, continually honing skills and developing professionally.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Comply with company policies, procedures, and carry out any reasonable requests made by management.
- Experience:
- Hotel sales experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Prior group and catering sales experience is a plus
- Skills:
- Strong organizational, time management, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Technology:
- Proficiency in sales systems such as Delphi, CI/TY, PMS, and knowledge of revenue strategies
