Job description:

5+ years working with CATIA V4 model creation/analysis, maintenance, licensing (LUM) and API development use the V4 macro and API capabilities

Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering/Science/Mechanical Engineering or similar

Skills
  • Proficient in creating, editing and analyzing data in CATIA V4 on AIX workstation while using remote desktop access
  • Extensive experience installing CATIA V4 software and license management utilities and license codes.
  • Extensive CATIA V4 and AIX troubleshooting experience resolving license server issues, network issues and updates and hardware
  • Deep understanding of the modeling technologies from facetted data to precise models
  • Deep understanding of the various assembly representations in V4 (sessions, overlays, details/dittoes, copy/paste)
  • Experience migrating data to V5 and understanding the result in both ditto and solid migrations, reports, error messages and methods to resolve issues
  • Extensive surface and curve modeling techniques and mathematically representations that control curve and surface behavior.
  • Experience developing software scripts to run batch utilities and to interact with CATIA V4 through the API and/or macros
  • Experience handling ITAR DATA

  • Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain CATIA V4 running on AIX
  • Identify licensed feature needs and coordinate with CATIA reseller and Dassault support
  • Develop and maintain automation for processing data using export options, processing Dassault provided tools to fix corrupt models, and custom application development to improve data quality during export
  • Provide scripts between Windows machines and AIX to move, process data and return results back to Windows system
  • Manage remote desktop access and tools by coordinating with IT team
  • Write scripts to interact with exiting batch utilities in V4 and V5 to V4
  • Access and analyze models in V4
  • Resolve issues in V4 models by editing data in V4 or running repair scripts
  • Mentor individuals on conversion team when issues exist in V4
  • Communicate with customer users during technical qualification discussions for new business.
