Dedicated local drivers enjoy the many privileges that come with having consistent customers. Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.

• Competitive pay:
• Average $1,442 per week/$75,000 per year
• Starting pay .58 cpm
• Receive a .03 per mile increase per year
• Average of 1,850 miles per week, with 1,500 miles guaranteed if available to work all 5 days
• Stop pay of $16 per stop
  * Average 23 stops per week
  * Average stop is 30 min.
  * If required to tarp will pay an additional $10 per stop (inclement weather only)
• Home every night
• Shifts are consistent
• 5 dispatches per week
• Start at 5 am Monday-Friday and finish between 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm
• Begin your route in Memphis, TN and deliver to customers in MS, AR and TN
• Deliver building material dry wall, lumber, etc. to retail and non-retail locations (some palletized)
• Strap each load, straps provided
• Tarp in inclement weather only
• If tarping is required an additional $10 per stop = $26 per stop pay
• Provided hard hats and vests must always be worn when out of the truck on the property
• Steel toe shoes required, driver will need to purchase
• No touch freight, live unload

• Must live within a 60-mile radius
• 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
• Drivers must have a Class A CDL
• Must be 21 years of age
• No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
• No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 5 years
• No suspensions or revocations for a moving violation within the past 5 years
• No serious violations within previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with a fatality)
• No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

Essential functions:

• Load freight -lift requirement: 80 lbs
• Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
• Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
• Lift and move side kits -lift requirements: 46 lbs
• Lift tarp - lift requirement: 110 lbs
• Apply and remove tarp(s) on load
• Secure load with chains and hardware -lift requirements: 80 lbs
• Climb onto and off of the flatbed trailer/load
• Count freight
• Complete fuel tickets
• Complete delivery receipt
• Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs
• Perform pre-trip inspections
• Drive
• Extensive travel - ability to sit upright for extended periods of time
• Regular predictable attendance
