Job Description
JOB TITLE: CENTRAL OFFICE BOOKKEEPER/INVENTORY CLERK

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Evidence of high degree of skill in bookkeeping procedures.
3. Proficient in the use of technology to include spreadsheet, database, word processing
applications and other current technology.
4. Ability to operate typical office equipment and machines.
5. Cleared background check through FBI and ABI processes.

REPORTS TO: Chief School Financial Officer (CSFO)

JOB GOAL: To assist Chief School Financial Officer in financial accountability.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Regular and punctual attendance.
2. Ability to communicate clearly with the public and employees.
3. Ability to organize and maintain accurate records
4. Ability to work effectively under minimum supervision and to follow instructions
5. Maintain the confidentiality of information pertaining to students, staff, and school system.
6. Maintain a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions of the Child
Nutrition Program to meet the requirements of the State Department of Education.
7. Prepare annual budget for the Child Nutrition Program.
8. Prepare monthly ES2s for reimbursement of federal funds.
9. Reconcile bank statements in a timely and accurate manner.
10. Be familiar with and follow Board of Education policies.
11. Maintain property inventory for both fixed and non-fixed assets by reconciling acquisitions and
deletions to the general ledger, issuing inventory ID labels, and coordinating physical inventory
of property.
12. Support local school bookkeepers.
13. Work with CSFO to prepare monthly payroll.
14. Demonstrate support for the school system and its goals and priorities.
15. Assume other duties as assigned by supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month year with salary according to the Board Salary Schedule.
