Responsibilities of the Certified Home Health Aide Include:
  • Provide health care services in patients residences.
  • Perform light housekeeping.
  • Prepare meals and snacks.
  • Transport and accompany clients to and from appointments or activities.
  • Use safety equipment as trained, to reduce risk of injury to patient and self.
  • Remind client to take their medications.
  • Assist client with personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Monitor client (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) and report on their condition.
  • Maintain client care records and document all services provided.
  • Assist clients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises based on the plan of care.
  • Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise.
  • Provide caring and dependable companionship and basic emotional or psychological support to the client.
  • Create compassionate and supportive solutions to your client's needs by collaborating with other associates and client's family.
  • Implement plan of care under the directive of a Registered Nurse.

Skills for the Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) include:
  • Proven working experience as a certified home health aide.
  • Ability to monitor vital signs and to collect specimens.
  • Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards.
  • Nursing and health care administration skills.
  • Caring and compassionate personality.

Requirements for the Certified Home Health Aide Position:
  • Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in the state of NJ (Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Day shift
  • Night shift
  • Overnight shift

Supplemental schedule:
  • Holidays
  • Weekends

Weekly schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends
  • Must be able to work 16 - 20 hours per week to include 2 weekends per month.
