Position Overview:
Tullahoma Surgery Center, a leading multispecialty same-day surgery center in Tullahoma, TN, is seeking a highly skilled and certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) who is also a Certified Surgical Tech (CST). This part-time dual role is integral to providing top-quality surgical care and supporting surgeons across a variety of specialties. Key Responsibilities:

• First Assist Duties:
• Assist the surgeon throughout the operative procedure, including providing exposure, suturing, and managing tissues during surgery.
• Ensure proper patient positioning, prepping, and draping for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Perform post-operative wound care and assist with the closure of incisions as needed.
• Surgical Tech Duties:
• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field throughout the surgery and anticipate the surgeon's needs for instruments and materials.
• Ensure proper care and handling of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Assist with room turnover and instrument sterilization between procedures.

Required Skills:

• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) certification (required).
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a multispecialty environment.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Team-oriented with a patient-first approach.
