Functions under the direct supervision of the RN-Surgery. Provides technical services and assists in the

operating room by providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile

field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of accredited surgical technician program required

Experience: One year of surgical technician experience

Basic computer skills

Effective oral and written communication

Licenses/Certificates: BLS

Central Supply Processing Department Technician (CSPDT), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Certified Surgical Technician required
