Certified Surgical Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technician is responsible for the care and safety of surgical patients. This role involves assisting the physician with the preparation and technical aspects of the scrub person during surgical procedures, as well as performing routine technical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the physician with the preparation and technical aspects of the scrub person during surgical procedures.

• Performing routine technical and various other duties as required.

• Ensuring the care and safety of surgical patients.

Skills/Abilities:

• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Ability to work with detailed, confidential material.

• Computer experience required.

• Ability to follow directions and work with precision under pressure.

• Maintains sensitivity, maturity, and flexibility in coping with difficult situations.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or equivalent education.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

• Certification by an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (must be obtained within 12 months of completing the training program).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Operating Room experience preferred.

Certifications:

• Maintenance of current BLS certification.

Education: High School

Certification: Basic Life Support
