Responsibilities
As our Surgical Tech , you'll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can't operate without you.
The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

Required Education (for CHI Leadership Job Levels from Supervisor through President)

Required Education for Staff Job Levels
Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
Required Licensure and Certifications
NBSTSA or NCCT, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail. Experience with varied high tech surgical equipment.
PREFERRED Qualifications
One year perioperative services experience preferred

- Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization
- Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you'll be supporting
- Adapt to the needs of emergency situations
- Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient
