JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for handling the day-to-day functions of devotional and spiritual counseling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assesses the spiritual needs/concerns of patients and families by direct communication with the individuals, by communication with the patients clergy, or by information obtained by other personnel.

Provides consultation, education, and support for other members of the Healthcare center and the community.

Assists with volunteer training as requested.

Conducts one-on-one visitation with residents.

Conducts memorial services as needed.

Counsels residents and families when death is imminent.

Leadership of worship services.

Conducts devotional times.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Completion of a Masters degree from an accredited theological school/seminary. Appropriate endorsement within his/her denomination. Completion of 1-4 units in Clinical Pastoral Education.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of ministerial experience.
