GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the supervision and instruction of the Director of Pastoral Care and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and the CPE supervisors, the Resident Chaplain engages fully and actively in the Clinical Pastoral Education Program as offered. He/she provides pastoral care to patients, visitors and staff members. Able to use as appropriate a wide range of pastoral skills including listening/attending, empathic reflection, conflict resolution/confrontation, crisis management and appropriate use of religious/spiritual resources. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
The 2024 - 2025 Chaplain program is already established for accepted individuals, please submit an application once you have directly been accepted through ACPE.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong Denominational affiliation.
Master of Divinity or equivalent preferred.
Vital interest in learning skills of chaplaincy
WORKING CONDITIONS
Able to work in the normally stressful situation of a major trauma facility
