Responsibilities

Audit patient registration documentation and billed charges for accuracy.

  • Conduct audits of charges for consistency with medical record documentation.
  • Assist with responding to patients' inquiries concerning the accuracy of billed charges and charge descriptions.
  • Assist with responding to third-party payer inquiries and resolving billing disputes.
  • Provide summary reports and analysis to hospital staff and management as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

  • 5 years of insurance verification/authorization is preferred.
