This leadership role will be responsible for daily operations of the Café. You will supervise kitchen staff and maintain overall responsibility for developing and implementing culinary solutions to meet customer needs. Coordinates and leads culinary operations to meet production, presentation, and safety and sanitation standards. Ensure service standards are met and surpassed by crafting an enjoyable experience for your customers with timely service. <\/o:p><\/p>
Responsibilities<\/strong><\/o:p><\/p>
Leadership <\/strong>- Ensure consistent standards and techniques are applied to the preparation and presentation of food items. Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to improve their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance. Coach employees by creating shared understanding about what and how to achieve goals. Complete and maintain all staff records including training records and performance data. Reward and recognize employees. Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.<\/o:p><\/p>
Client Relationship<\/strong> - Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships. Collaborate with all levels of organization. Anticipate and identify client needs and effectively communicate operational progress. <\/o:p><\/p>
Financial Performance<\/strong> - Responsible for managing budget, delivering food, labor, and operational targets.<\/o:p><\/p>
Compliance <\/strong>- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees. Ensure cleanliness and high sanitation standards are maintained at all times. Ensure proper handling of all food products and equipment is maintained. Follow all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, including those relating to safety, health, wages, and hours. Maintain acceptable sanitation and food safety behaviors to ensure compliance with OSHA and FDA rules and regulations.<\/o:p><\/p>
Innovation<\/strong>- Maintain a solid understanding of culinary trends and use them where appropriate. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Communicate on-site consumer and local competitor insights. <\/o:p><\/p><\/div>
Qualifications<\/strong>

• Culinary Expertise<\/o:p><\/li>
• 3-5 years of experience preferred, 2+ years of people leadership experience preferred<\/o:p><\/li>
• Multi-site experience preferred<\/o:p><\/li>
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications<\/o:p><\/li>
• Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs<\/o:p><\/li><\/ul>
  Education<\/strong><\/o:p><\/p>
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in Related field beneficial<\/o:p><\/li>
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession is required; this includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and\/or problems and excellent oral, reading, and written communication skill<\/o:p><\/li>
  • Must complete Serve Safe Food Handlers certification<\/o:p><\/li><\/ul>
