Piper Companies is currently seeking a Chemist to work for a multinational CDMO located in Durham, North Carolina.

Responsibilities of the Chemist:

• Working under general supervision performs laboratory experimentation to purify, isolate and analyze APIs, intermediates, natural extracts, etc.
• Basic maintenance of laboratories and equipment such as HPLC, UHPLC, GC etc.

Qualifications of the Chemist:

• 0-2 years' experience in laboratory environment
• Experience with and knowledge of analytical and preparative chromatography
• Experience using HPLC/UHPLC instruments and related software such as Empower
• Understanding of manufacturing practices and regulations regarding PPEs, handling solvents and chemicals
• Confident presentation skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time while undertaking benchwork

Compensation for the Chemist:

• Salary: $27-29/hr
