Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Radiology is expanding and searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have responsibilities in cardiopulmonary radiology including conventional radiographs with a full complement of advanced imaging including CT and MRI. Involvement in a variety of multidisciplinary conferences is expected. Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

As a Cardiothoracic Radiologist at The University of Chicago, appointees will play a pivotal role in our commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and cutting-edge research. They will provide specialized expertise in the interpretation of cardiovascular and thoracic imaging studies, including CT, MRI, and advanced modalities, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Additionally, they will have the unique opportunity to closely collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, cardiothoracic and thoracic surgeons, pulmonologists with expertise in interstitial lung disease and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, and medical oncologists. Faculty members have dedicated academic time with many opportunities available to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong basic science group as well as other clinical and basic science departments throughout the University. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have: 1) a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board certified or eligible in Radiology,
