Under the direction of the Assistant Deputy Director, Administrative Services Division, the Staff Services Manager II (Supervisory) provides statewide leadership, oversight, and coordination of the complex and technical contracting and procurement program. The SSM II provides consultation to the Executive and program management on policy and technical matters to resolve complex administrative issues related to contracts, grants, and procurement. The SSM II is also responsible for assisting programs with developing streamlined systems and processes statewide to support contracting and procurement of consumer-related acquisitions to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

The SSM II oversees the development and processing of over 2,000 administrative and program-related contracts, grants and amendments (with the dollar value in excess of $100,000,000), and approximately 145,000 departmental administrative and program purchases for approximately 2,000 employees (with a dollar value of $155,000,000) annually. Acts as the Purchasing Authority Contact for the Department's delegated purchasing authority. The SSM II is responsible for 2 Staff Services Manager I, 9 analysts, and 1 office support staff.

Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent must live and work in California.
