Summary
Provides direction and support to the medical staff -- and as part of the hospital leadership -- assists in fulfilling the mission, plans and objectives (including the responsibilities to the patient and the community) for the provision of high quality, cost effective care. This position in dyad partnership with the Chief Physician and Operations Executive is jointly responsible for:
Overseeing all hospital operations throughout the facility
Ensuring overall quality of medical care (clinical and service quality),
Managing cost of operations and financial performance of clinical and operational departments,
Supporting a culture of performance, quality, service, accountability, and transparency for clinicians and staff across the institution with the CNOE specifically responsible for the nursing staff culture and climate.
Working collaboratively with their other hospital counterparts to standardize operations and consistency.
This position oversees multiple hospital departments and provides direction to nursing staff and other assigned areas to promote safe, quality patient care that supports a positive patient experience. Ensures consistency of best practice nursing standards in guiding the provision of patient care. Serves on health system Executive Nursing Leadership Council promoting Magnet standards and continuous improvement. Provides clinical perspectives to patient care issues while advocating for staff and patient needs.

Ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to improve the delivery of care. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Certification in Nursing Administration or appropriate specialty as applicable.
