JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENTS WILL HAVE:
• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ten plus years engineering experience in a production, manufacturing or plant environment
• Experience working in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Communication and presentation skills sufficient to communicate thoughts succinctly to Management
• Routine communication with customers and vendors
• Have a solid background using PC software applications including Microsoft Office Suite
• Be familiar with applicable codes, regulations and standards
- Work with Project Engineers to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installation
- Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commission plans
- Participate in the final check-out of new installations to assure adherence to functional specifications
- Track the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets and find ways to reduce those losses or high costs through root cause analysis, plan approval, then facilitate implementation
- Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems
- Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations
- Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations
- Insures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned jobs
