We are currently looking for a Full Time Child Support Specialist to join our Child Support Services Team team located at the Colony Building.

Summary:

Promotes the goals of Chickasaw Nation Child Support Services by providing comprehensive child support services for clients with the outcome of consistent financial and emotional support for children. CSS Specialist will provide families with hands on, family focused personal case management through modification, enforcement and locate services.

Responsibilities:
* Monitors and maintains case management files
* Maintains a caseload in excess of 200 cases
* Analyses cases and interprets court orders to determine appropriate actions
* Ensures proper notice, actions, and the status of each case is in line with the program's standard operating procedures, as well as state and tribal law
* Assists parties in reaching agreements through mediation and dispute resolution techniques with the goal of minimizing family conflict
* Attends tribal court hearings to meet with clients
* Documents contacts, correspondence and records all actions taken for case in assigned case management system and case file record
* Maintains a daily log of case management activities
* Meets with clients in office by either appointment or walk in
* Initiates and responds to telephone calls, emails and child support inquiries
* Assists the Child Support Attorney in court by providing the necessary information and documentation on cases referred
* Identifies, coordinates, and connects individuals to available resources
* Participates on special projects, committees, and taskforces as assigned
* Completes all required departmental documentation
* Prepares reports as needed or requested
* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

- May augment staff in other areas as needed based on staffing and needs ratio in regularly assigned unit
* Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.

Credentials:

* Standard Driver's License
* Pass general background check

* Must pass a background check including FBI fingerprinting, local law enforcement check and residency authorization
