The YMCA of Corry is looking to hire a qualified Childcare Director to manage the day-to-day operations of our growing center.

Job Description

Our new director will be a confident leader who is responsible for the general management of our YMCA Child Development Center, including the following minimum duties:
  • Administering finances, personnel, maintenance, meal planning and preparation and grant management.
  • Manage and oversee the budget and accounts and ensure the center remains profitable. Develop and facilitate a marketing and communications plan.
  • Administering the YMCA’s program objectives and activities.
  • Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Parental engagement.
  • Coordinating and planning daily activities with our Lead Teachers from infants - school-age programs.
  • Overall program planning.
  • Staff recruitment and development. Written evaluation of staff persons on a regular basis, a minimum of one evaluation every 12 months.
  • Interview, hire and train new staff, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.


Qualifications

Our director shall have attained one of the following qualification levels:
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.
  • An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.
  • An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years of experience with children.
