Childcare Resource and Referral Manager

Join our team at CocoKids, where we champion quality childcare and early education for children and families. As the Childcare Resource and Referral Manager, you’ll oversee the delivery of childcare referrals, parenting resources, and training to support families and childcare professionals.

Supervision and Training:

Lead and mentor R&R Counselors and Childcare Bridge Navigators, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to provide high-quality assistance to families and childcare providers. Develop comprehensive training programs based on industry best practices, such as Family Strengthening initiatives.

Program Oversight:

Coordinate the delivery of childcare referrals, parenting resources, and technical assistance to families and childcare professionals. Manage and improve the usage of databases for both parents and providers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is readily available. Oversee the Emergency Childcare Bridge Program for Foster Children, including the Enhanced Referral, Voucher, and Provider Coaching processes.

Community Engagement:

Network with community organizations, non-profits, and government agencies to support public policy efforts for childcare providers and families. Cultivate relationships with local, state, and federal legislators to advocate for improvements in the quality, affordability, and accessibility of childcare.

Provider Development:

Facilitate the development of childcare providers and the expansion of quality childcare options in the community. Oversee programs such as the provider development program and provide technical assistance and training to support business start-up and licensing orientations.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about Community Care Licensing Regulations and ensure compliance with updates and changes. Address community complaints and maintain provider complaint files as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related field, preferably in a non-profit or educational organization.
  • Strong public speaking and oral presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to relate well with diverse parents, providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to supervise staff effectively and achieve team goals.
  • BA degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual Skills - fluency in Spanish desired.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with My Childcare Plan.
