Bachelor - in science, engineering or equivalent

Salary and Other Compensation:

The base annual salary for this position is between $[95- 115,000+] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Applications will be accepted until 10/11/2024.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with 12 to 16 years of experience to join our team with Data Vault 2.0 DBT and Snowflake experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Snowflake SQL and a strong background in the Provider domain. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of data architecture and the ability to design and implement robust data solutions. The position operates during day shifts and does not require travel.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions using Data Vault 2.0 DBT and Snowflake.

Oversee the development and maintenance of data models to support business requirements.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.

Ensure data integrity and security across all data platforms.

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.

Implement best practices for data management and governance.

Monitor and troubleshoot data issues to ensure system reliability.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture and processes.

Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Snowflake SQL databases.

Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data architecture.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes and workflows.

Qualifications

Possess a minimum of 12 years of experience in data architecture and design.

Demonstrate extensive expertise in Snowflake SQL.

Have a strong background in the Provider domain.

Show proficiency in developing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

Display strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Have experience with data management and governance best practices.

Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data architecture.

Show a commitment to maintaining data integrity and security.

Be adept at creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
