Civil Designer

For the last six decades, Garver has been designing projects for more than 250 aviation clients. Through this experience, Garver understands the complexities of airport systems held together by runways, roadways, facilities, and electrical systems that need to work in tandem to accommodate daily needs for travel and transport. As part of Garver's commitment to continued innovation in airport design, our Texas aviation team is dedicated to providing the expertise and leadership to assist our clients in meeting both current and future needs.

Garver is seeking an experienced Civil Designer or CAD Technician for our Frisco or Fort Worth office to assist in planning, design, and construction documents development on a variety of aviation civil engineering projects. This is an office-based position. Experience with site design and land development will be critical to success in the role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• An Associate's degree or higher in drafting, design, or surveying, or combination of relevant coursework and drafting experience
• Understanding and application of drafting methods, standards, and procedures
• Working knowledge of drafting/design software and MS Office Products
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• 4+ years of related drafting experience in aviation, site, roadway, stormwater, and/or general civil-type projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel periodically and as needed in the course of execution of projects
