Description

Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., Civil Engineer - EIT (Multiple Positions), Austin, TX. Perform civil engineering design tasks including preparing engineering drawings for biological wastewater treatment systems and biosolids treatment systems, preparing hydraulic system calculations, pipe design calculations, engineering reports, design criteria, and applications for regulatory agencies. Preparing engineering project documents, client presentations, contacts and communications pertaining to specific project deliverables. Attend meetings with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to gain an understanding of client's goals,

project requirements, site assessments, and key challenges. Develop engineering designs through preparing sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. Identify technical problems and develop appropriate corrective actions. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure compatibility with design intent. Support construction project tasks including preparing submittal reviews, site observation reports, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications. Participate in value engineering and preparing basic cost estimating. #GTM

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Water and wastewater treatment and utility infrastructure projects applying State and Local Municipal Environmental Quality regulations; Performing hydraulic calculations; AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Revit, and BioWin; Preparing engineering studies and designs for water treatment plant and utility infrastructure projects; Preparing documents and applications to be sent to reviewing or funding agencies; and Communicating project issues with clients, contractors, vendors, and delivering technical presentations.

Must have a US Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Designation.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Austin, TX may be permitted up to 4 days a week, depending on business need.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 5%.
