Minimum Training & Experience

CIVIL ENGINEER I

Minimum Training and Experience

Possession of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.

Necessary Special Requirements

Must obtain an NCEE Engineer Intern Registration within two years of employment.

At the department director's discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required at the time of appointment for any designated positions allocated to this class.

For designated positions in this job classification, incumbent will be required to file a financial disclosure statement with the Supervisor of Elections in their county of residence, in compliance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 112, Part III. Such filing is required within 30 days of placement in a covered position, annually thereafter by no later than July 1 of each year in which they serve in the covered position, and within 60 days of leaving the covered position.

CIVIL ENGINEER II

Minimum Training and Experience

Possession of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field and two years of professional work experience in the area of engineering to which the position is assigned.

Necessary Special Requirements

Must possess an NCEE Engineer Intern Registration (excludes Transportation Land Use).

At the department director's discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required at the time of appointment for any designated positions allocated to this class.

CIVIL ENGINEER III

Minimum Training and Experience

Possession of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field and five years of professional work experience in the area of engineering to which the position is assigned.

Necessary Special Requirements

Possession of registration as a licensed professional engineer (PE) at the time of application. Incumbent must attain a registration as a licensed professional engineer in the State of Florida within one year from date of employment.

For designated positions in this job classification, incumbent will be required to file a financial disclosure statement with the Supervisor of Elections in their county of residence, in compliance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 112, Part III. Such filing is required within 30 days of placement in a covered position, annually thereafter by no later than July 1 of each year in which they serve in the covered position, and within 60 days of leaving the covered position.

Salary Range

$26.8426 to $72.8395/hourly.
