Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented Mid-Level Civil Engineer to join our New England Transportation business line. The ideal candidate will be part of the New England Track Group located in Chelmsford & Boston, MA. Also will be responsible for development of designs, plans, technical specifications, quantity and cost estimates for a variety or railroad-oriented tasks, including but not limited to equipment foundations and elevated steel equipment and enclosure platforms, steel stairs, small retaining walls, associated drainage and grading plans, duct banks, demolition plans, catenary structure attachments and other miscellaneous tasks as necessary.
In addition, the ideal candidate will bring their experience working with MBTA, MassDOT, CTDOT or other passenger/commuter railroad agencies along with working knowledge of applicable AREMA, IEEE, NESC and other industry standards.

Job Description

- Serves as engineer on mid- to large size railroad projects.
- Apply knowledge and understanding of construction on or about a railroad.
- Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments.
- Will propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS Civil Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
- Experience with AutoCAD, Open Roads, MicroStation and/or Inroad's software.
