HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM (Overview & Key Responsibilities):

The Driver / Customer Delivery Representative will professionally operate equipment to deliver inventories of Lube-Tech to customers in a cost-efficient, safe, courteous and timely manner. The Customer Delivery Representative is involved in customer service issues, ensuring the delivery meets the customer's needs. The Driver will manage the security and quality of Lube-Tech materials while loading and unloading of trucks, and delivering to customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safely and accurately deliver products to customers on time · Portrays a positive company image through attentive customer service and professional appearance, positive interaction and high work-ethic
  • Act as an ambassador of Lube-Tech while driving and with each and every customer, to uphold the professional company reputation ensuring all customer needs are met.
  • Maintain current driver's license with appropriate endorsements and medical care
  • Comply with DOT hours of service rules and maintain truck operation in full compliance with DOT regulations
  • Manage your driving records, maintain logbook, perform Pre/Post Trip inspections and document defects
  • Build relationships with customers through friendly attitude when delivering
  • Work with customers to maintain delivery schedules
  • Become familiar with customer operations to anticipate their needs and expectations
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding any changes or requests from customers
  • Communicate with dispatch, customer service and salesmen daily to apprise them of deliveries and understand customer needs
  • Maintain interior cleanliness of truck along with delivery system equipment to maintain a highly reliable, professional-looking delivery vehicle
  • Maintain safety materials, organized on truck to simplify future delivery process and report all safety defects to appropriate personnel immediately
  • Verify documents are complete and submitted at the end of every shift
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

Education:
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
Experience/Training:
  • Meets all D.O.T. qualifications in accordance with the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations, Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations.
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the last 36 months or 2 in the last 12 months
  • No DWI or DUI in the past 5 years
  • No Key crashes in the past 12 months or no more than one key crash in the past 36 Months. Key crashes include but are not limited to: rear end, lane change, intersecting and or loss of control.
  • Prefer 1-2 years driving experience and good customer service skills.
Licenses/Certificates:
  • Class A license; clean safety record; medical card
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Ability to get in and out of truck several times a day; lift up to 75 LBS, push/pull a barrel or dolly up to 600 LBS Must be able speak, read and write English, and have basic mathematical skills, all with sufficient proficiency to understand instructions, complete required paperwork, and communicate clearly with supervisors and staff.. Must be able to speak clearly, see, hear, and smell sufficiently well to safely perform assigned duties including recognizing and responding to emergencies. Must be able to think logically, question, remember, understand, concentrate, reason, make decisions, prioritize, and deal with deadlines and multiple projects. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

This is a CDL driving position. This position will be susceptible to noises associated with driving heavy machinery. This position requires the driver to be in attendance during the entire process of loading the truck and making deliveries. The employee will be constantly working in varying outdoor weather conditions and around loud machinery. The work performed may be outside in the rain, snow, or wind, or inside in hot or cold areas. Temperatures and humidity may vary from very low to very high. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
