Job Responsibilities

Yarde Metals is looking for a Class A CDL Driver associate to join our Fleet & Operations Team in Southington, CT. A Class A Truck Driver safely operates a commercial truck to transport and deliver material to customers.

• SAFETY FIRST!
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle.
• Load and unload material.
• Secure loads and assure they are within weight limits.
• Verify material condition and quantities during the loading/unloading process.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs.
• Comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Always represent the company in a professional, courteous, and presentable manner.

Requirements & Qualifications

***This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery.***

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 1-6 months experience strongly preferred,
• Valid, current Class A CDL license and medical certificate.
• Clean MVR and driving record.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
