This position is located in the city of Sacramento.

Under the general direction of the Staff Service Manager II (SSM II), Assistant Chief, Human Resources Branch, the Staff Services Manager I is responsible for the supervision, guidance, and training for a team of Personnel Analysts who are responsible for the Department's classification and pay, hiring, and selections. The incumbent works in close partnership with other staff within the Human Resources Branch in areas of mutual concern and to provide quality service to the programs.

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ):

3. Describe in detail your experience and/or educational background that demonstrates knowledge of CalHR as well as its major partners, including the State Personnel Board (SPB), Department of Finance (DOF), and State Controller's Office (SCO), including experience representing the organization to these entities as well as partnering with other departments.

4. Describe in detail your experience, educational background, and qualifications related to your ability to establish priorities, create work plans, delegate assignments, and track progress to ensure timely and accurate completion of special projects; and your demonstrated ability to oversee the departments hiring process to meet deadlines.
