Classroom Teacher Assistant (3rd Grade - 6th Grade)

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Classroom Teacher Assistant to support our 3rd-grade through 6th-grade scholars in Special Education and/or Bilingual/ESL classes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential and thrive in a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in Math, English Language Arts (ELAR), and Science, following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for Special Education scholars.
• In-Class Support: Assist classroom teachers as directed by the campus director, contributing to a positive and engaging learning experience for all scholars.
• Vendor Support: Facilitate pull-out sessions with outside service providers, such as speech therapists or dyslexia specialists.
• Language Support: Offer one-on-one or small group language support to Emergent Bilinguals (EBs).
• Safety Monitoring: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students both inside and outside the classroom and on campus.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the campus director.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bilingual or multilingual skills.
• Previous experience working in Special Education and/or with English Language Learners.
• Associate's degree or higher in Elementary Education, Special Education, Bilingual Education, or a related field. (Preferred)
• Successful completion of a background check.

Position Details:

• Classification: Non-Exempt
• Days: Monday - Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as required.
• Normal Weekday Hours: 25 hours per week.
• Compensation: $25,000 per year.
• Reports to: Campus Director
• Location: 7540 Ed Bluestein Road, Austin, TX 78723
