Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Clean Room Technician for a long-term, day or swing shift position with a plastics manufacturer located in Tigard, OR. The person in this position will perform assembly (mechanical and electrical), plumbing (stainless steel and Teflon tubing), electrical wiring (cables and assemblies), fusion (purebonding, socket and IR) and plastic welding.

Pay: $20-$34/hr depending on experience

Clean Room Technician Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly tasks including wiring of cables and assemblies.
  • Stainless steel and teflon tubing plumbing.
  • Tube bending.
  • Purebonding, socket and IR, and plastic welding.
  • Reading engineering drawings and labeling products according to print specification.
  • Identifying issues affecting quality or process.
  • Follow test procedures and document test data.
  • Train other workers as required.


Clean Room Technician Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years in manufacturing environment, Clean Room experience preferred.
  • Tube bending experience preferred
  • Able to read and interpret engineered drawings.
  • Able to identify and build using Inch and Metric dimensions.
  • Able to read and interpret a bill of materials,
  • Ability to identify different plastics - WPP, NPP, All PVC material, FRPP, PE, Polycarbonate, CPVC, PVDF, FM4910 Materials
  • Ability to use tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, rachet/socket tools, exacto/utility knives, hand scrapers, hand chisels, measuring devices, deburring tools (metal and plastic), counter sinks, drills and taps(standard and NPT), helicoils and insertion tools, hand flare tools, wire strippers/crimp tools, terminal connectors, tbe cutters and benders (SST and Teflon), heatguns, hand drills (electric, and battery), fusion machines (Purebond, Socket and IR), jig saws/saber saw, heatshrink labelmakers, thermoprint labelmakers, plastic welding (fusion area), and soldering guns and tools.
  • Be able to communicate issues related to work orders, drawings, part shortages and machine errors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Ability to work in a concentrated team environment setting for designated shift.
  • Ability to stand at workstation for designated shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs.
  • Must be available to work day shift, 6AM-2:30PM MON-FRI OR swing shift, 2:15PM-10:45PM MON-FRI.
